The strength of Beyond Boundaries lies in our Expedition Leaders. We only employ experienced NGB qualified Mountain Leaders who have worked with the Lifesigns Group for a number of years. They are passionate about introducing young people to the outdoor world and ensure that our mini- expeditions are second to none!
Each expedition is carefully designed to ensure the maximum enjoyment of the participants, and have a minimum ratio of three adult staff per team. Each team is linked to our UK-based 24/7 operations room via satellite telephones and tracking, ensuring that we know where each of our teams is at any time
The usual planning time for a Beyond Boundaries mini adventure is six months. During this time, we will meet with the parents and Young Explorers, facilitate a one-day training course and ensure that all teams members are equipped and ready to depart on their expedition. Before departure a comprehensive risk assessment and safety pack is lodged with the school senior management for their approval. This pack includes routes in and out of the country, safety information, back-up plans and staff qualifications. During the expedition parents receive daily messages from our operations room, keeping them informed as to the teams progress.
With our high staff ratios and tried and tested back-up systems, we ensure that the young people in our care are safe, whilst having an amazing experience overseas.
